Monkey and Swines

These are the three Verses (Ayat) in Quran where clear references are given of the people who were converted into monkeys and swines. These are the people who tried to be creative in their interpretations of Allah’s guidelines. Read Tafseers of these Suras to get more details around these punishments.

May Allah guide us all in the right path, the path of the righteous people and not of the path of those who earned Allah’s Anger, nor of those who went astray.

1: Sura Al-Baqara 2 Verse 65

Al-Baqara
And ye know of those of you who broke the Sabbath, how We said unto them: Be ye apes, despised and hated! (65)

Sura Al Maeda- 5 Verse 60

2: Al-Maeda
Say (O Muhammad SAW to the people of the Scripture): “Shall I inform you of something worse than that, regarding the recompense from Allâh: those who incurred the Curse of Allâh and His Wrath, those of whom (some) He transformed into monkeys and swines, those who worshipped Tâghût[] (false deities); such are worse in rank (on the Day of Resurrection in the Hell¬fire), and far more astray from the Right Path (in the life of this world).” (60)

Sura Al – Araf 7 Verse 166
فَلَمَّا عَتَوۡاْ عَن مَّا نُہُواْ عَنۡهُ قُلۡنَا لَهُمۡ كُونُواْ قِرَدَةً خَـٰسِـِٔينَ (١٦٦)
3: Al-Araf
So when they exceeded the limits of what they were prohibited, We said to them: “Be you monkeys, despised and rejected.” (166)

Cricket world cup 2011

Here is what I got from one of my friend who loves cricket and is reason for me to create this blog.

England vs India – Cricket world cup 2011

Was the match fixed? Former Australian bowler Shane Warne had twitted a day before with confidence that the match would be a tie. See below letter to editor appeared in today’s The News newspaper:
Thursday, March 03, 2011
Former test player Amir Sohail raised a very valid question about the thrilling encounter between India and England at Bangalore. Shane Warne Twitted a day before the match that it would end in a tie. The way India quickly lost wickets towards the end of its innings and the way England suddenly slowed down its chase all seemed very suspicious.

The ICC announced to enquire about a test match involving Pakistan after the mere publication of a newspaper report while it is completely silent in this case. Had it been Pakistans match, investigations would have been underway by now. It seems the ICC has got something against Pakistan while teams like India, England and Australia are above all laws.

My Opinion:
The reality of ICC’s needs to be recognized as biased, racist and prejudice in the game of cricket. Remember, India holds an enormous source of revenue for the ICC. With over a billion in population, India seems to be the country to please and invest in. You can rest assured that no matter what happens, ICC will not risk pointing any match-fixing allegations toward Indian players. Just make it evident how much the western countries are becoming boot-lickers to Indians, take a look at the ICC Staff below:

1. Chief Executive Officer of ICC – Haroon Lorgat (indian – South Africa)
2. President of ICC – Sharadchandra Govindrao Pawar (indian)
3. Chief Financial Officer – Kushal Das (indian)
4. Media Representative – Ravi Shastri (indian)
5. Audit Committee – Birendra Agarwal (indian)
6. Internal Auditor – Varinder Kohli (indian)
7. Anti-Corruption and Security Unit – Ravi Swami (indian)
8. Human Resources – Supriya Kamat Banerjee (indian)
9. Cricket Development Asia – Binaya Raj Pandey (indian)
10. Medical Committee – Dr. Anant Joshi (indian)
11. Women’s Cricket Asia – Shubhangi Kulkarni (indian)
12. Governance Committee – Shashank Manohar (indian)
13. Code of Conduct Committee – Goolam Vahanvati (indian)
14. Code of Conduct Committee – Stindar K Lal (indian – Canada)
15. Code of Conduct Committee – Sharad Rao (indian – Kenya)

Then of course, you also have the Corporate Alliances with ICC which fund plenty of money for advertising and so on. Of the 6 or 7 corporations which are sponsoring the ICC tournaments, championships and so on are india’s Hero Honda and Reliance. ICC is infested with “Endians.”

The team that plays better will win. My gut feeling says it could be be South Africa vs Pakistan in finals given Pak batsmen perform.
